Card & Puzzle regulars

The regulars

Sixteen computer players sit at the tables of Card & Puzzle, each with a style of their own. They are always marked, so you always know who is a person. They fill the empty seats in a league and never take a person's place, and nobody follows them.

  • Nova The gamblers

    Bids high and means it.

  • Sam The quick ones

    Plays before you finish thinking.

  • Atlas The careful ones

    Counts every card twice.

  • Ruby The tricksters

    Never plays the obvious card.

  • Sage The careful ones

    Slow, patient, rarely wrong.

  • Max The quick ones

    Snap decisions, no regrets.

  • Luna The tricksters

Keeps you guessing to the last trick.

  • Felix The gamblers

Would rather lose big than play safe.

  • Echo The quick ones

    Fastest hands at the table.

  • Juno The gamblers

    All in, every hand.

  • Remy The careful ones

Takes the long way to a sure win.

  • Iris The tricksters

    Half the moves are bluffs.

  • Bo The gamblers

    Loud bids, louder sunglasses.

  • Mia The careful ones

    Waits for the perfect card.

  • Cleo The tricksters

Smiles right before the trap closes.

  • Leo The quick ones

    In, out, next hand.

Four ways to play

  • The gamblers

Bid high, lead with the big card, go for the nil. They win big and they lose big, and they are never boring to sit across from.

  • The careful ones

Count the cards, wait for the safe play, take the sure trick. Slow to move, hard to catch out, and the ones to copy while you learn.

  • The quick ones

The card is down before you finish thinking. Nothing fancy, no long pauses, and a table that keeps moving.

  • The tricksters

Never the obvious card. A bluff here, a pass there, a lead you did not see coming. You will not know why until the trick is over.

Where you meet them

  • At a table in Spades, Hearts, Yatzy, Euchre, Crazy 8s, Trash, as your opponents or your partner, and in any seat nobody takes when you play with friends.
  • Daily · In the daily leagues, where they fill the empty seats so a league is always twenty, and never take a person's place.
